System installation success for Dorset’s premier chilled delivery company

With daily deliveries of milk, dairy products and a selection of ambient food items using their own fleet of vans and 7.5 tonne refrigerated vehicles, this Dorset dairy business combines modern technology and traditional values to offer customers high quality, locally sourced products with the very best in customer service.

Since implementation, the Mobile Enterprise Systems software has successfully managed the dairy’s van sales and direct store delivery operation ensuring continued high levels of customer service whilst reducing the cost of sale. Real-time data exchange provides the office with a live view of vehicle and driver activity, alerting the Customer Service Team to any areas of inefficiency during the delivery process, and labour-intensive office and depot processes are now automated. The intelligent Wave Picking module controls the warehouse peaks and manages on-van stock with stock predictions and suggested load orders, all at the touch of a button.

Just 18 months after the installation, with the system meeting all objectives and delivering significant benefits to this busy dairy business, Mobile Enterprise Systems revisited this project and went on to install additional modules including electronic invoicing, web ordering and KPI reporting.
